 How to Calculate GPA Manually

If you want to do it the traditional way:

Assign each grade a point value:

A = 4.0

B = 3.0

C = 2.0

D = 1.0

F = 0

Multiply each course credit by its grade point.

Add all the results.

Divide the total by the total number of credits.

Example:

Total Grade Points: 12 + 9 + 4 = 25

Total Credits: 3 + 3 + 2 = 8

GPA: 25 ÷ 8 = 3.125
